Shalom!
My name is Dr. Teresa Gardner, the director of Zion Center for Worship and The Arts. The founders of COMMISSIONED | Ministry, Business, & Arts Institute (CMBA), Jeremy & Onisha Goldsmith, are planning a mission trip to Israel with ZCWA on June 3-16, 2021. We wanted to share this information with you and ask you to prayerfully consider helping them in both prayer and financial support.
Safety: Currently, there are twenty-five people desiring to make this ministry journey. They have prayed and feel a call to participate in this personal spiritual investment, ministry outreach, and biblical support of Israel. As the director of ZCWA, let me first say that we are continuously kept aware of events in Israel and if we believe it is unsafe for us to go – we simply will not go. However, based upon over 100 years of combined experience and well over 100 trips to Israel amongst the leadership of this trip, we are proceeding - believing this to be the Lord’s will and timing for this group. We believe this to be a significant season for increased ministry opportunities in Israel and an important and life-long investment in the lives of those participating. Of course, given the unusual times we are living in, we are carefully listening and diligently being kept aware (with much prayer and counsel), of what is wise and timely regarding travel, etc. I personally believe these times also offer amazing and timely opportunities for ministry.
Trip Cost: The cost per person is $4395.00, and each person is responsible for raising their own funds. Needless to say, we need God to provide! If you have any questions, please email us at zioncwa@gmail.com. If you do not feel led to contribute financially, please know that we truly appreciate your prayers. If you are able to help financially, please make contributions payable to: “The Obed Project” and mail to: 12143 Stainsby Lane, Charlotte NC 28273. ZCWA partners with The Obed Project for our trips to Israel, and they handle all of the logistical preparations for the trip. We have served the Lord together for many years. The Obed Project is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization and donations are tax deductible. Please provide information regarding who the contribution is designated for. (www.TheObedProject.org).

A little background: For over 40 years, ZCWA has been involved in teaching, training and discipling people of all ages in the use of the Arts, particularly Dance Ministry, as biblical expressions of worship and as a way to communicate God’s message. Dance, and all arts, when expressed for the glory of God, can be powerful tools in worship and communication. The arts are highly respected and greatly received in Israel by the Jewish people, and we have had wonderful experiences in seeing hearts and lives encouraged and opened as we have shared God’s love and message through these venues.
Having taken many people to Israel, I have no doubt that this trip will further equip them and wonderfully impact their lives as they experience first-hand their heritage from both the Old and New Testaments of God’s Story. The team will have many opportunities to share their unique gifts. In the past the LORD has opened several doors for us to share in public venues, at many Biblical sites, and even spontaneously at restaurants. We are looking forward to how He will have us share His love for Israel on this trip. Each trip is different and we ask you to join us in prayer as we prepare for what God has for us to give and to receive.
We see at least three main purposes for this trip:
1) Training: This trip will serve as a training and discipleship opportunity for those who participate as they learn about the land, the people, and the history of Israel - a place where the Bible truly comes alive. Study and worship will take place at many of the sites visited - from the Desert to the Sea of Galilee to Jerusalem. Experiencing Israel first-hand will serve the participant well in teaching others for generations to come. Our goal is to also see Israel as it is today, to understand God’s heart and promises for this land and this people, and to further equip us for ministry while we are there.
2) To minister to Israel – the people. We do this by showing our love and support in communicating through the arts (dance, music, song, etc.) - a language well received in this culture. In a land forsaken by most of the world, the Jewish people are amazed and grateful for the hope and joy we bring to them through their own music and dances. We are truly comforting Zion (Isaiah 40:1-3) while we proclaim that our God still reigns and loves them (Isaiah 52:7). Just our very presence there is a strong witness.
3) To minister prophetically – we will worship, pray, and proclaim on-site – declaring God’s Truth from His Word and His Spirit about that place and calling it back to its true purpose(s). Sometimes with only God as our audience, this may be the most important part of our ministry. However, we usually do end up with audiences as people gather to watch our dances and listen to the music - and then they ask questions. It is a wonderful way to share. Sometimes they even participate!
I often marvel at how God puts together our teams and how He uses the individual and varied gifts and talents of each person. We truly experience the beauty of how He works through His people, and we are trusting Him to put together the team for this particular trip. And, please know that we truly appreciate all of you who pray for us before, during, and after our mission’s trip. This is essential, and we thank you in advance.
Thank you so much for your consideration of supporting our team.
Sincerely,
Teresa Gardner, D.W.S.
