Recommendation For Ministry License or Ordination
Licensing:  Licensing is a way for the local church to give recognition, authorization and affirmation of a person’s gifts and skills for ministry. It is looked on favorably by other churches, which adds further evidence of the person’s gifts and abilities throughout the local and corporate body of believers. Though preaching is a primary focus, other gifts may also be recognized by licensing. Those being licensed operate their ministry under the authorization of a local ministry or Christian organization.

Ordination:  Ordination is considered a higher level of ministry in relation to responsibility and is appropriate for those who have a substantial preaching/teaching ministry in a church, parachurch or mission agency, or educational institution.  Again, though preaching is a primary focus, other gifts may also be recognized by ordination.

Both licensing and ordination represent a type of setting apart or commissioning of ministers. The essential ceremony of both consists of the laying of hands upon the head of the recipient, with prayer for the gifts of the Holy Spirit and of grace required for the carrying out of the ministry. The service also usually includes a public recognition and charge concerning the responsibilities of their ministry. CSCP will examine their knowledge of Biblical truth and aptitude for the communicating Biblical truth in their ministries.

Please take a moment to complete the form below in it's entirety. Your recommendation will help us determine if the applicant is an appropriate candidate for CSCP licensing or Ordination. Thank you in advance.
